My Brethren:

A great thanks to all who attended our January meeting, the joy of the evening was made complete by your participation. I have heard it said many times in the past, but until you have been installed into the Chair of King Soloman it is impossible understand, that this was one of the most memorable nights of my life. My thanks to the out going master W. Bro. Simon Bush (not only for great meals but your passion for the craft) and the Masters before him, you have all been great teachers. My utmost thanks and gratitude to W. Bro. Rick Gifford and his team of installing Masters, I now, know what is involved in put this tremendous night together. My very dear friend Bro. Steve Bowman, thank you not only for the beautiful gavels but involving my boys in their crafting, it was a tremendous experience for them as well. I very much appreciate the willingness and dedication of the officers for serving the brethren of Temple Lodge, especially V.W. Bro Wendall MacLeod his faithfulness as secretary is exemplary, as well as V.W. Bro J.J. Allen Price and Bro. Derek Osborne. I must also thank the many Past Master that have agreed to mentor the officers, as well as those members and Past Masters sitting on committees. Over the past many months it talking and meeting with many Past Masters and long standing members I became more aware of the task at hand and the duties of the Master of the Lodge. I have taken all that good advice in hand and started this year running. A Lodge is not a building but a group of men that are focused and dedicated to the task that is Freemasonry. I know already, that each of you are available when called on to assist in any way you can, to make our Fraternity even better. At our emergent meeting Bros. Steve Bowman and Derek Osborne proved their proficient in the third degree and did a fine job, congratulations to both of you. My thanks to W. Bros Mike Elliot and Gary Gifford for filling some vacant chairs at the last minute and Bro Steve Bowman for filling a couple chairs. To those that attended my personal thanks. Six days in the Chair and already employing the Brethren, if this trend continues we will have a busy year. Some of the readers of this summons do not or can not attend our regular communication, I trust that this keeps you informed, and in some way involved, it is your Lodge where you are with us or not. If there is any thing that I or the officers can do, if you wish to attend or have any other needs please let me know.  Please take note of the events of our lodge and contact any officer for tickets, with your help, these great events will sell out fast.

May the G.A.O.T.U. always be with you.

Fraternally yours

W. Bro Paul Scammell
